Welcome to the Kingston & Elmbridge Junior Snorkellers Club web site. Here you will find everything you need to know about our happy club. Should you want any further information about us that you cannot find here, please get in contact and we will do our best to answer your questions.
We are a specialist youth club that teaches children from 8-18 the sport of Snorkelling.
Snorkelling is great fun and good exercise. It is a sport the whole family can enjoy and there are qualifications and skills to suit everyone. We find that it is a great place to make new friends or bring along current ones to enjoy something fun together. Friends have been made for life here, we've even had a few weddings as a result too..! We are very family orientated with many siblings joining one after the other, and even parents joining in.
We run an intake system for new members to allow progression as a group. That way no one is left behind and everyone starts from the same point. Intakes are usually in October and April of each year, but if there is enough interest we can put on ad-hoc starting dates. Please contact us to be placed on our waiting list.
We are affiliated to the British Sub Aqua Club the Governing Body of Sport Diving in the UK and adhere to all their rules, codes of practice and training standards. All our staff are trained at national level and are C.R.B. Enhanced checked.
We are members of Littleton Sailing Club, who maintain a lake specifically for divers and snorkellers, so the open water experience can be carried out safely and locally with ease.
We are based at Xcel Leisure Centre Walton on Thames, meeting on Tuesday evenings between 19:30 hours and 20:30 hours. Come along and watch us if you are interested...
