Awards

Awards in the diving community are a rareity, however despite being a small youth group, we have been fortunate enough to have achieved a lot. Here are some of our accolades ed-hrvatski.com…

Certificate of Commendation – Heinke Trophy 2019

The Heinke Trophy is BSACs way of recognising the significant contribution its clubs and members make to the growth and development of scuba diving. The trophy is presented every year to the BSAC club considered to have done the most to further the interests of its members and of BSAC

Whilst we did not win the full trophy, we were the first snorkelling club to ever recieve consideration let alone a commendation.

Alan Broadhurt Award for Bravery & Good Use of Lifesaving Skills – October 2018

Chairman of BSAC Alex “Woz” Warzynski, presents the awards to Jakob & Nick

After an incident at the pool, requiring the first “real” rescue and CPR of a student in the pool; BSAC awarded the Alan Broadhurst Award to Dive Officer Nick Stevens & Snorkeller Jakob Byrne-Jones.

Both members were instrumental in saving the life of their fellow member after a breath hold dive went wrong.
