Open Water Season 2023

It struck me that Ive been diving at the lake for 36 years now, and not a lot has changed… Yes, we now have a car park, instead of risking jumping across the fence from the road. Yes we have a pontoon now instead of a muddy slip and slide into the water… But not a lot else has changed. The sights and sounds of the lake at Littleton are a mainstay of the club. Something which I hope to be for many years to come.

The lake is a superb training ground for new and older members, It has set newbies off on their start to a world of underwater adventures, it has seen hundreds if not thousands of students learn to save lives, build friendships and extend breath holds. All whilst being a place of calm, beauty and natural energy.

I do love the new diving season…

This year has been no different, and its clear from the smiles on the faces of this years student cohort, the lakes power has not waivered…

Another busy season on the lead up to Lulworth, with students learning basic kitting up procedures, open water skills, lifesaving skills and dark water aclimatisation. As well as just getting used to the difficulty of having all that extra kit on…

Here are a few pics from parents and staff covering the last few weeks amazing dives…
