How much will equipment cost when I decide to buy some?
Unfortunately due to covid, increased manuafacturing and material costs, equipment prices have increased dramatically compared to a few years ago. Prices do vary however depending on what you wish to buy, the manufacturer and supplier. A simple basic kit of Mask, Snorkel and Fins shouldn’t cost you more than approx £200 (and thats for midrange). A mask will cost around £60-£100, a simple J-Tube snorkel about £20 and slipper type fins about £100.
We are lucky to have a great link with our local dive shop Aquanaut Scuba & Snorkelling. Who understand our needs and keep a great range of kit for us. The club can advise on what to get when the time comes, so please ask an instructor.
More advanced equipmet later in the training may cost more, but there is plenty of time to plan, and we have a stock of kit in case of emergencies.
For further information on equipment, please check out our Equipment FAQ or ask an instructor for more information.
